Travel Information
There are many charter and scheduled flights serving Heraklion (HER) or Athens airport (ATH) from Europe.
The airport of Heraklion is situated about 4 km from the city centre. There is a regular bus service to the city centre as well as taxis. To go from the Airport of Heraclion to the centre of the city of Heraclion (and city Hotels), you can use either taxi, that will cost you ~10 Euros, or take the local Bus that leaves daily from the airport starting at 7:00 a.m. The ticket costs 0.90 Euros and the ticket is bought at the bus station.
